Elena BonetSenior Creative CopywriterSOMOS Experiences

The task of defining oneself can be a challenge, but in this case, our Senior Creative Copywriter Elena Bonet describes herself as a perfectionist professional, meticulous and determined in her objectives. These qualities have found their place in her role as a creative copywriter at the Studio, where she is dedicated to the creative side of projects. At SOMOS, Elena is in charge of making events more meaningful experiences and connecting deeply with the audience, as well as writing different types of content.

How would you define yourself in 3 words?

It's a very complicated question to answer yourself, but I consider myself to be a perfectionist because I pay a lot of attention to detail. I would also describe myself as stubborn; when I commit to something, I go for it and it is difficult to deviate from my goal. I think I put a lot of effort into things, but at all levels, not only professionally but also personally.

What is your day-to-day life like at work?

I work as a Creative Copywriter in the studio and basically we take care of all the creative part of the projects, together with the rest of the creatives. Our role is to come up with ideas to make events more experiential and connect more with people. We are also in charge of writing all the texts; from making the presentation we sell to the client, to the script of a video or an event.

Which project are you most proud of so far?

I've been lucky enough to have been involved in some very big projects at SOMOS, but I'd say I'm most proud of two. The first is the premiere of an action film, for which we brought Gran Vía to a standstill and did a live chase with the actors. Regardless of the magnitude of the project on an international level and the participation of such renowned actors, what really stood out was the experience itself. It was very exciting, full of tension until the very last moment, and seeing the final result was truly satisfying.

Another project I am very proud of is the one we developed for LALIGA. Recently, we collaborated in the presentation of their new image. This project was also very large and significant for them, and involved many challenges in terms of production, logistics and script. Despite some unforeseen events and last minute challenges, everything went perfectly and was very rewarding. Everyone was satisfied and for us it meant it was worth the effort.

What event or project would you love to organise or work on?

I would like to continue to be involved in more entertainment-oriented projects, such as the premiere I mentioned. At the end of the day, working on these projects you reach a wide audience and the end viewer, and it's very cool. Specifically, I have a particular interest in participating in events like a Goya Gala or even something as big as the Eurovision Song Contest, which I consider to be one of the most powerful entertainment events. I would love to have the opportunity to work on something of that magnitude.

What would you have done if you hadn't chosen this profession?

I have always been very interested in the field of communication. If I weren’t a creative copywriter, I might have opted for another facet of this field, such as marketing, which involves not only communication, but also analytical aspects. However, if I were considering a completely different option, I think I would have been passionate about psychology.
