SOMOS EXPERIENCES IS BACK ON SNOW TO ORGANISE THE AUDI QUATTRO CUP 2023

SOMOS Experiences hit the snow to put on the Audi Quattro Cup 2023: a U10/U12 alpine ski competition sponsored by Audi and the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation, a group aimed at promoting skiing, giving voice to local organisers, and encouraging sport in the area.

Once again, Audi relied on SOMOS Experiences to devise and develop all activities related to the competition. The hope was that participants, families, and people visiting the ski station had a good day in the snow thanks to Audi.

SOMOS wanted to build a snow Village so that attendees could participate in various activities that reflected Audi's values: innovation, technology, and sustainability. We had a driving simulator, a Kids Zone, a Scalextric with branded cars, a Snowboard circuit, and even a Test Drive for adults to enjoy driving Audi vehicles.

Different teams working towards the same goal

SOMOS Barcelona and SOMOS Madrid took to several large ski stations in Spain: Candanchú, Baqueira Beret, La Molina, Cerler, Pajares and Sierra Nevada, to replicate activities from the Audi Quattro Cup. And new this year was the participation of SOMOS Communication, a group responsible for developing social media strategy, organising press at events, and advertising the ski competition as well as other events.

“We have been putting on this event for many years and working with SOMOS makes our work and organising a lot easier. The production and operations team really knows what they have to do at all times. The new addition of the SOMOS Communication team helped us better advertise the event and reach a greater audience while working towards the same objective”, states Marina Amalrich, the SOMOS Experiences Account Manager.

An extraordinary event

The Audi Quattro Cup is different compared to other events; a sporting event that takes place in an unusual environment, on snow. This makes work dynamics quite different from other events.

“We work in physically demanding conditions due to temperature and because we have to get up super early to set things up. However, there is nothing quite like watching a mountain sunrise while working alongside a united and lovely team” explains Marina.

The event was well received by attendees, which ranged from between 300 and 600 people per competition and was also well covered in social networks and press.
