Get to Know... RUBÉN LÓPEZ
Ruben did his undergraduate studies in Advertising and Public Relations and his face should be familiar at SOMOS. In 2018 he joined SOMOS Experiences as Digital Project Manager. In addition to managing different digital events and campaigns, he was key in putting on the first-ever hybrid event after the pandemic.
After a year and a half away from the company, Rubén is back at SOMOS as Digital Account Director. With him, he brings greater mastery in digital tools and experiences, team management, and New Business recruitment.
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Consistent, highly organized, and empathetic.
What does your average workday look like?
Right now, I am focusing mainly on project management, both internally and externally. I am in charge of establishing processes and organising the teams so that we all feel at ease and can work as orderly as possible.
On the other hand, I am also working a lot on New Business, on new projects that are emerging and are very attractive and important for the group.
We are currently working on two very interesting projects for Repsol and Daikin.The second is a very cool Experience Centre that is going to be inaugurated soon in Barcelona.
Which project are you most proud of so far?
I want to talk about a project we carried out for Red Eléctrica during my first stint at SOMOS. It was one of the first projects that we did in a hybrid format after the pandemic and it was something innovative, it wasn't really something that had been done much before. While it was super challenging, it also marked the beginning of a series of events that later followed the same line.
What project would you love to work on?
I would love to work on any communication project that has to do with Real Madrid.
What would you have done if you had not chosen this profession?
I have always been interested in psychology, and in fact, have taken quite a few courses in it.
